Heyva

February 5, 2023

IE student Priscilla Angriawan (GOMBA '22) along with Richard Maceiczyk (GOMBA '22) are the founders of Heyva. Heyva is the first women focused health platform in Indonesia.

To know more about the creation of Heyva and their next steps, check the interview we did with Priscilla.

Can you give us a brief introduction to who you are?

My name is Priscilla Angriawan and my colleague is  Richard Maceiczyk. We are both attending GOMBA Feb’22 and will be graduating on July 2023.

Tell us about your startup - When it was founded and what it does?

The idea came about a few months before the venture lab, but we really kicked off to start working on the startup during the venture lab last year Q3.Heyva Health will be the first women focused health platform in Indonesia. We focused on assisting women throughout their reproductive journey by introducing programs which provide bitesize engaging educational content, tele-health services and medicines. Currently, for our initial go to strategy, we are addressing the most painful and underserved period of their reproductive journey: right after birth, a period where 85% of women are facing difficulties in their lives recovering after birth and transitioning to a new identity, being a mom.

Are there skills that you learnt with IE that helped you when creating Heyva? Which and how were they applied?

Definitely, there are many learnings we can get from IE. With our lectures and forums, we developed a better analytical and critical thinking when we make decisions and develop our plan. We are currently taking a class on entrepreneurial venturing, which are very applicable at our current stage of startup journey.

What are the next steps for Heyva?

In the next few months, we will start raising our pre seed round funds. We will be focused on improving our MVP and acquiring customers as much as possible through partnerships with mom communities, mom & baby brands and healthcare facilities. Towards the end of the year, we will start focusing on building a better product and expand our programs.

Any message you would like to share with students/alumni?

We are looking for angel investors and vc early stage startup investors who will be interested in investing in our startup.

We are currently looking for interns to join us!
