Live Classes

Live or synchronous classes are classes where professors and students come together for a learning activity at a scheduled time. At IE, there are two types of live classes: Live in-person classes delivered in the hybrid classroom on IE Campus and live online, which are video conferences conducted 100% online.

Live in-person classes Hybrid sessions are taught in a physical classroom @IE Campus with part of the students present face-to-face and part of the students connected remotely through Zoom. Each classroom is equipped with:

  • 2 screens to display your materials and the video feeds of remote studetns
  • 1 Camera Logitech Brio 4k zoom at the opposite wall
  • Zoom desktop application to allow remote students to connect

Teaching in a hybrid setting is a new challenge! Make sure to check out the set-up of the hybrid classroom.

Live online classes

Live online classes are 100% online. Professor and students all connect remotely at the same time, independently form the time zone they are in.

At IE, the mayority of live online classes are conducted on Zoom. You can access to your account through https://ieuniversity.zoom.us. It is important that you always choose Single Sign On (SSO) and connect with your IE credentials.

Here you can find a support website to help you get started with Zoom. We also offer webinars on a regular basis.

About the Hybrid Classroom

Currently, all presential classes at IE are delivered in the hybrid classroom. This means you will have face-to-face students in the classroom but also students connected remotely through video conferencing.
