    The mission of the Borgen Project is to fight extreme poverty at a US national and global level. They are the innovative, national campaign that is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. foreign policy.

    The Forage offers virtual professional experiences at leading companies such as Latham & Watkins, Citi, Red Bull, and many others. These experiences are self-paced and take 5-6 hours to complete!   • COMPLEMENTARY TRAININGS - IE SUMMER PROGRAMS

    IEU offers a number of summer programs to complement your bachelor’s studies in areas such as Entrepreneurship, Fashion Styling and Media, Humanities, Tech & AI, Sustainability, Law, Customer Experience, and more! IEU bachelor’s students receive a 20% discount.

  • FINANCE SPRING WEEKS (Open to students in their antepenultimate year)

    The best-stepping stone for students looking to pursue a career in finance. These usually last one week and are held at company HQs in London or Frankfurt in April. Applications happen between August and November of the previous year.

  • UNSSC SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM (Open to 2nd-5th year BIE, BIR, BIEBIR students)

    The Summer Research Program is a joint initiative launched by the UN System Staff College (UNSSC), the IE Bachelor in International Relations, and the Bachelor in Economics. You will work with a top field expert professor and complete 50 hours of work over the year.

  • RAIA GROUP SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM (Open to 1st and 2nd year BIR, BBABIR, BIEBIR or LLBBIR students)

    The BIR-RAIA Summer Research Program is a two-month program that studies key leaders in the UN Climate Change Conference. This project is part of the 1Planet4All initiative. Selected students will create a profile on a state leader/activist/influential figure based on the RAIA methodology.

  • BIE-OECD ECON / FINANCE SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM (Open to 2nd and 3rd year BIE & BIEBIR students)

    A joint initiative launched and designed by OECD Staff, and the IE School of Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs. Students will develop research methodologies and craft recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis in the areas of either geopolitical risk or ESG reporting, analyzing OECD data, assessing regional trends, and producing a report.

  • IFC Summer Research Program (Open to 1st, 2nd and 3rd year BIE and BIEBIR students)

    Students will have the opportunity to conduct research for the International Finance Corporation-PPP Advisory, exploring opportunities and risks in climate-focused Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) that support the Paris Agreement. This project aims to identify areas for impactful private and public sector collaboration in different regions of the world.

  • AREA 31 (Open to all students)

    Part of IEU's Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center, which offers support to aspiring founders. Area 31 is a space where our students and alumni go to bring their ideas to life. It can accommodate up to 100 startup teams per year and is even used as office space by certain investors. Look in the Early Careers monthly newsletter for internship opportunities from Area 31.

  • LOCAL & INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERING (Open to all students)

    Volunteering is very well looked upon by recruiters across sectors. We recommend that students who haven’t done so during their high school years explore options to partake in a volunteering experience in the early stages of their Bachelor's degree. Remember platforms like We Make Change, HacesFalta, and The Borgen Project.

  • CORPORATE CHALLENGES & EVENTS (Open to all students - with exceptions)

    Corporate events, challenges, and competitions vary from year to year. Make sure you check out IE Connects, and the newsletters sent by your academic office and Talent & Careers so as not to miss out on those taking place throughout the year.
