    If you need a routine appointment, you should first contact your private medical provider. They can guide you to the correct medical centers and answer questions about your specific policy. For medical emergencies, follow the instructions below:

    PRIVATE HEALTHCARE:

    For medical emergencies, Segovia has the following private hospital (5-minute walk from campus):

    Before going to Hospital Recoletas or any other private hospital, we recommend that you check with your health insurance company, in order to make sure that you are covered during your visit at this specific hospital.

    PUBLIC HEALTHCARE:

    Once in Segovia, you should visit the Public Health Center (Centro de Salud) that pertains to your neighborhood. Our advice is that you go with your European Health Insurance Card, the housing contract and your passport in order to register with them. This way, when you need a routine appointment or you have an emergency, your information is already in their system.

    Emergencies: you can of course visit the ER at any public hospital if you need emergency attention. Always bring your European card and passport/ID with you to the ER. If you have a serious emergency, here is the public hospital closest to IE University:
