Terms & Conditions: IE Digital Well-Being Challenge

1. PROMOTER: Instituto de Empresa, S.L., with registered number N.I.F.: B-82334319 and registered address at C/María de Molina 13, 28006 Madrid, and IE Universidad with registered number NIF: G-40155384 and corporate registered address at C/ Cardenal Zúñiga, s/n – Segovia 40003 (from now on, together, “IE”)

2. DATE OF THE CHALLENGE: The IE University Digital Well-being Challenge (from now on, the “Challenge”) will extend from September 25th, 2023 until October 31st, 2023.

3. PURPOSE OF THE PROMOTION: The purpose of the Challenge is to promote a healthier lifestyle among the IE community through a more conscious & responsible relationship with technology and in particular, digital devices.

4. REQUIREMENTS: Only current undergraduate, master and executive program students at IE University; current IE employees, active faculty members with an active “"@faculty.ie.edu” email account, and IE alumni with an active “@alumni.ie.edu” account by October 31st, 2023 will be able to participate in the Challenge.

5. PRIZE: The Prize consists of 70 individual prizes divided in 3 categories: 40 annual subscriptions to the app AppBlock; 20 annual subscriptions to the app Opal, and 10 QSC Faraday pouches. The prizes will be assigned to winners among all eligible participants who complete all the mandatory tasks of the Challenge on the IE Connects platform in accordance with the Challenge mechanics by the end of the Challenge on October 31st, 2023 at midnight CET time. The Prize will be delivered to the winners in different ways depending on the category. For annual subscriptions of AppBlock and Opal, these will be delivered via email in the form of a coupon code that can be redeemed in the AppBlock and Opal apps. Winners will receive this email within 30 days following the closing of the Challenge on October 31st, 2023. For the QSC Faraday pouches, these will be sent to the winners via standard mail to the address provided by the winner through the form within 30 days following the closing of the Challenge on October 31st, 2023.

6. MECHANICS: IE will review the completion report of the Challenge generated by the IE Connects platform on October 31st and carry out a raffle among the eligible participants to randomly select 40 winners for the annual subscriptions of AppBlock and 20 winners for the annual subscription of Opal. An IE Jury composed of a staff member of Quiet Social Club and two current staff members of IE's Center for Health & Well-being will choose the best 10 final reflections to determine the 10 winners of the QSC Faraday Pouches following one evaluation criteria:  significance, defined as "drawing conclusions and setting goals that address a (the) major issue(s) raised by the experience of the challenge".  IE will post the name of the winners by November 10th on the IE Connects platform and contact the Challenge winners by November 30th. In case IE does not receive any answer from the winner in the following 7 days or refuses the prize, IE will raffle the Prize again with the rest of eligible participants that successfully completed all mandatory tasks and so on.

7. OBLIGATORY NATURE OF THE BASES: By participating in this Challenge, the participants expressly accept the present rules. Any sign of no acceptance of the present rules will imply the exclusion of the participant from this Challenge and, accordingly, IE will not be obliged to comply with these rules with respect to that participant. Moreover, the participation in this Challenge implies the acceptance of the applicable tax rules as well as IE’s interpretation of the same.

The Prize is subject to the legal and tax regulation in force and cannot be changed into cash.

IE reserves the right to modify at any time the terms and conditions of this Challenge, including the cancellation with just cause before the Challenge expected date, in which case it will communicate with enough time the new legal bases, conditions, or in its case, the permanent cancellation.

8. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION: In case of any dispute regarding the interpretation and execution of these rules, IE and the participants in this Challenge agree to be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Madrid, with express refusal to any other that may be applicable.

9. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION: Participants expressly authorize IE and third parties hired by IE such as service providers, to file and process their personal data in any publication of the Challenge. The purpose of processing the participants’ personal data is to deal with this Challenge, publish the name of the winner at IE’s web sites and in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked-in, etc.) and deliver the Prize to the winners.

The processing of participants’ personal data is based on the consent given, which can be withdrawn at any time. However, in the case of withdrawal of consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out previously.

Participants may exercise their access, rectification, erasure, opposition, restriction of processing and portability of the data by email addressed to soportededatos@ie.edu typing in "IE University Digital Well-Being Challenge" on the Subject line of the message.

Finally, participantsyou may lodge a complaint to the Spanish Agency for Data Protection, at the address indicated by it at any time, if they consider that IE has violated the rights which are recognized by the applicable data protection regulation.
